When you’re shipping orders internationally under Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU), making sure your customers know exactly what to expect is the key to a smooth delivery. Here’s what to tell them:

  1. Accurate addresses & contact details: a complete, valid address and up-to-date contact information (phone and email) help couriers reach your customers if there are any questions or issues.

  2. DDU means customs & duties for the receiver: the under DDU, the customer pays any customs or import fees when their package arrives. Let them know beforehand so they aren’t surprised by extra charges.

  3. Stay informed on customs fees: Different countries have different rules and rates. Encourage your customers (and your team) to keep an eye on customs regulations—they can change, and being prepared prevents delays or returned orders.
